Chapter 281 So far
"Report?" Athena asked as she chewed on a toothpick, playing with the steel stick in her hands. She was seated with her legs on the desk, wearing a bored expression as if someone had taken away her favorite candy. Continue your journey on My Virtual Library Empire
A woman dressed in military uniform saluted as she looked at the three beautiful women sitting in the room. She took out a crystal from her pocket, pressing it firmly, thus projecting a screen on which was written the title: "Results of the Cult Extermination." The woman adjusted her posture.
"The third event, organized by Professor Crystal, under the command of Professor Athena and the head of the Hunter's Faculty, Kalista, with the three first-year classes participating in this event along with the faculty recruits, came to an end today, the 16th of the seventh month," she began.
"The total number of surviving students from the three classes was 20, and the surviving recruits were 57. According to our report compiled by the administrators, the majority of the students were massacred at the hands of lower-ranking cultists. On the other hand, only a minority were massacred at the hands of cult leaders, all under the orders of some students who managed to form groups."
"Only the following cult leaders appeared in the event: Andre belonging to the cult that worships Nigrothor the Ancient, leader of the cult that worships Ranus the Ancient, leader of the cult that worships Crimson the Ancient, leader of the cult that worships Implacable Buzzing the Ancient, and lastly, the cult leader who worships The Infester the Ancient.
There were no sightings of leaders from other cults, but there are records of some students dying at their hands."
"All the aforementioned cults were either completely exterminated or almost entirely by the students, especially the cult leaders who were killed by the top students. Of course, they were not alone; some of the best recruits from the Hunter's Faculty were of great help. All records are archived so that any of you three can see them in more detail.
These two, in particular, were in Persephone's group, and without their help in the game, it would have been difficult to finish off the cult leader. Their help was invaluable."
"And finally, the skill and leadership of the best of this generation were by no means small. After all, they were the ones with the most presence in this event, leading the other students, and under their orders, the casualties were fewer, considering that they were the protagonists of killing most of the cult leaders who made an appearance.
Each of them is one of the greatest prodigies that the empire has to offer in this generation," the woman finished the report and made a military dismissal as she left the room.
"Great!" Athena exclaimed excitedly as she clenched her fists tightly. She was very excited about the students of this generation, who surpassed the previous one. "Two of the chosen ones have moved up to the Pegasus class, not bad!" she said, nodding with pride as if she herself had accomplished such a feat.
"I wonder what their true names are..." Crystal also wondered to herself, getting lost in her thoughts.
"Tsk," a tongue click came from Kalista. She was the only one in the room who didn't have a true name yet, which she found somewhat annoying or unfair that some children got it so easily. She had worked hard over all these years and still nothing. Athena smirked teasingly at her friend but didn't say anything about it; she had to agree it was quite unfair.
She shrugged and looked at the two women, but especially at Kalista. "I need the five boys for the next mission," she said with a smile, referring to Matías, Lirio, Lisa, Rose, and Ariel.
Kalista looked at her over her shoulder. "Do you want to steal my students?" she asked, raising an eyebrow suspiciously. Athena chuckled under her breath and shook her head. "I want to take them to the Enchanted Forest," she hesitated for a moment, "I'll also take Persephone and Estefany," her smile was mischievous.
