Chapter 803: Gudako
Chapter 803: Gudako
Fang Mo didn’t know much about Rin Tohsaka and her group’s current whereabouts.
After the izakaya incident, he couldn’t quite rein in his playful mood. It wasn’t that he got too caught up in his role, thinking he was really going to sweep across Europe, help revive the Soviet Union, and launch a conquest.
The main thing was... this whole situation felt like a game to him.
Given his recent actions, it was pretty clear this was turning into a Paradox game, like ‘Fate: Storms of History’ or something.
It couldn’t be helped—Nyarlathotep's pendant worked too well. Any ordinary person who heard his speeches would become his most fervent supporter. In just a few days, Fang Mo had already taken over Fuyuki City.
Even in Tokyo, people had begun to express their support for him.
In fact, it wasn’t just ordinary people—even mages seemed unable to resist the mind-altering effects of this outer god-level psychic pollution.
Just yesterday morning, Fang Mo received a few mysterious letters from the mayor of Fuyuki City. According to the mayor, the letters had inexplicably appeared on his desk.
Fang Mo opened and skimmed through the letters.
The gist was that these were from a group of mage families who admired Fang Mo’s ideas and wanted him to lead a reform, hoping he could revolutionize not only society but the decaying magical world as well.
Fang Mo didn’t reply to them, but the situation was certainly getting interesting.
It almost felt like his past gaming experiences—except this time, he was a player with access to console commands. With just a few tweaks, boom, all his approval and execution rates maxed out. It was like being the Fourth Disaster, crushing all three before it.
On top of that, his resources were now limitless.
Yes, limitless resources.
Unlike before when he had to pull resources from game worlds, now Fang Mo could alter the fate of an entire country with just a flick of his finger.
In his early days in the Marvel universe, Fang Mo used gold—specifically gold bars—to tempt Nick Fury. But everyone knew that what America loved more than gold was a mysterious, sticky black liquid... Oil.
Now, if Fang Mo were to return to the Marvel universe, all he’d need to do was summon an oil field for Nick Fury. Heck, he could even make vibranium no longer exclusive to Wakanda.
This newfound power came from a rather obscure mod: ‘Large Ore Deposits’.
He had unlocked this mod at the Metal Knight’s base during the One Punch Man arc. But at the time, he had unlocked so many mods, most of them related to technology, that he had overlooked this one.
It wasn’t until his recent return from the Arad continent, while having Steve mine ores, that he noticed several crates of iron ingots appearing out of nowhere. That’s when it hit him—*Large Ore Deposits*.
The *GregTech* mod also had an ore deposit system, but GregTech’s ores required specialized machinery and complex processes to refine, making them a hassle. To someone not playing GregTech, the ores were just useless rocks.
But *Large Ore Deposits* was different.
It didn’t add new items or entities to the game. Instead, it was a functional mod that added various types of ore deposits.
The most absurd thing was that it didn’t just generate vanilla ores. The mod would scan all installed mods and generate ores based on them. This included, but wasn’t limited to, Tinkers’ Construct cobalt, industrial uranium, Immersive Engineering nickel, and even gems from *More Terrain*.
To test this, Fang Mo took the mayor of Fuyuki City on a little trip to the outskirts.
"A-san, why have you brought me here?" the mayor asked, bewildered as he glanced at the geologists and engineers nearby. "And what about them? Are you planning to build a factory here?" RaNőʙΕṨ
"What is it?" the mayor asked urgently.
"It seems like there’s iron ore here," one of the geologists replied, scratching his head in disbelief. "But... we should do more testing to be sure!"
Soon, the results from the surrounding areas were in, and the conclusion was consistent: there was indeed a massive iron deposit in this seemingly barren area.
"This... how is this possible?"
The mayor was equally shocked.
"See? I told you there was something valuable here," Fang Mo chuckled, patting the mayor on the shoulder. "You can handle things from here. I might head to Honshu Island next."
"What? Why?" The mayor looked bewildered. "A-san, what are you planning there?"
"I had a dream last night that a wealthy man was telling me he had a mine there," Fang Mo said casually as he walked away. "I’ll go check it out. If I find uranium, we’re in for something big. Maybe I’ll start producing 'Little Boy'..."
"What wealthy man?" The mayor asked, still confused. Then it dawned on him. "Wait... Honshu Island? You don’t mean... Mt. Fuji?!"
"Yep," Fang Mo confirmed with a nod.
"..."
The mayor was stunned. Was there really a mine under Mt. Fuji? Would they even get approval to dig there? What if it caused an eruption?
Before he could voice these concerns, Fang Mo suddenly turned to look into the distance, as if sensing something.
"A-san?" The mayor followed his gaze and noticed someone walking out of the nearby forest near Mt. Enzou—a young girl with orange hair, dressed in strange clothes. "Is that a citizen?"
"Hmm?"
Fang Mo also seemed surprised but quickly smiled. "An old friend, I think. You guys head back. I’ll chat with her."
"Alright."
The mayor nodded and didn’t ask further. He got into his car and left, along with the geologists who were eager to analyze the samples further.
After everyone else had left, the orange-haired girl approached.
"Greetings, sir."
She spoke first, not giving Fang Mo a chance to ask questions. "My name is Ritsuka Fujimaru, from the Chaldea Security Organization."
"You've got guts coming here," Fang Mo grinned. He had already recognized her identity even before she introduced herself. Anyone who’d played the game would know her better as "Gudako," a character often used as the subject of various jokes online.
"Sir... you know of me?"
Ritsuka Fujimaru didn’t seem too surprised, merely curious.
"Chaldea, right? I know of you," Fang Mo said casually. "So, what brings you here? Are you trying to resolve this Singularity? Or do you want me to give a speech at Chaldea?"
"Neither," Fujimaru shook her head. "I’m here... to surrender.”
