Sam's sudden change shifted the battle a bit.
The flames didn't care about precision. They just exploded every arrow that came in and Sam's speed increased. His battle style became very similar to the time he fought with Imari. He created wide area attacks.
Arkiv's mobility was restricted. Some times he couldn't even shoot an arrow, before Sam's attack exploded it. He had to use those shockwave attacks to give himself some space. The sky above the city turned into a domain of flames and that was just the start.
Sam switched between elements and fought with Arkiv.
The battle was still intense, but after some time, the spectators felt like it was more like an exchange. Sam never moved for a killer move. He didn't use any of his signature moves that would send anyone to their graves.
No weird cards.
No sign of puppets.
They got a feeling that Sam was just playing along. Just when that thought too root in their minds, the situation changed.
A pack of cards came out of Sam's hands and he threw the around Arkiv. Sam didn't activate them immediately. He swung his staff with wind element, making sure that they stayed afloat in the air. Arkiv tried to hit a few with his arrows, but Sam managed to dodge them.
The cards were kept afloat in the air.
"Here I come."
He muttered slightly and a flame attack hit the closest card.
The resonance activated, the cards threw the attacks at Arkiv who got ready with his twisted arrows. He shot them up, creating an umbrella of attacks that created a formation in the sky, trying to block the attacks.
The formation created a dome that tried to blockade the attacks. However, the sheer volume of the attacks and their combined intensity destroyed the formation. Still, Arkiv managed to avoid the lethal dose.
At that moment, a small token on Arkiv's hip vibrated.
Three multi-arrows got nocked on the bowstring. Energy channeled through his body. Sam took another pack of cards and this time. Both attacks clashed and the explosion was big enough to surround the whole city.
All the spectators ran away from the explosion.
As the vision cleared, Sam stood there, panting, looking a bit exhausted. At the same time, Arkiv stood on the other side looking equally battered.
The spectators were of course shocked. Because ever since Sam kept on using his tricks, this was the first time they had been countered. Twice and back to back at that. And it seemed like if properly countered, Sam actually felt some pushback.
However, the city was still ruined.
The group did come back to their senses faster and tried to jump Sam. But already had his preparations. Him and his beasts not only disappeared from the spot, a flag landed in the middle of the city out of nowhere.
The flag activated a formation.
It kicked everyone out in an instant. Sam escaped and the continent was taken back by him. The Hou Yi team is now struck in a dilemma. They didn't know if they should rebuild this base or if they should leave this place.
There he will follow a pattern of dealing with the weakest to strongest forces one after the

"Since you already figured out his pattern and intercepted him in the last realm, don't you think there is a chance that he might change his strategy?"
"I don't think so. Because from my observations... Sam doesn't actually calculate all of this. His mind, it just subconsciously knows everything. He just needs to know enough information about people and he can decide all of it."
"You are kidding." The elder was dumbfounded.
"No. I am sure, Sam got a chart similar to this one with all the details. The moment he processes this information, he figures out everything that he needs to attack."
"Then that guy is more dangerous than we thought.
I am giving you a chance to prove yourself. The others testimonials are trustworthy, but I still
can't just give you everything. Prove it in this realm and I will give you more power and
authority than you can dream of."
"You will be surprised."
Arkiv left with the team. He had a wide grin on his face. The team members assumed, that's because he got a chance to duke it out with Sam once again.
And he reinforced that thought with actions. He healed, gathered some new team members
and brought them all to the new realm. By the time, they entered there and reached the base of the Hou Yi team, they already got a news that Sam already destroyed one of the bases.
They immediately got to work.
Arkiv figured out the next spot of attack and the team went there to intercept. They arrived at the city and reinforced the defenses. They moved to the best of the ability and maximum
efficiency.
Once they are done with the new formations and stationing enough forces, they waited for
Sam to arrive.
Arkiv of course, didn't let everyone to the city out in the open. They all believed that Sam would scout the city beforehand. So, they disguised and worked on the city as if they were
mercenaries.
Arkiv and Sam both awaited that moment to attack the area. The same goes for the rest of the team. Its just that they have completely different ideal outcomes lined up for it.
At exactly three hours after that, by the time, the team got confident about the city, Sam
finally moved.
A spatial tear appeared over the city with beasts appearing out of it, following Sam.@@@@
