Chapter 771 Horde
Chapter 771 Horde
The red sky slowly returned to its normal appearance over the course of the day. However, despite this return, there emerged an ominous aura originating from the same direction as before, but this time, it was swiftly advancing toward them. This aura carried a malevolent and oppressive presence, causing a tangible sense of discomfort among the people exposed to it.
Those who felt this aura began to feel unwell, experiencing symptoms like cold sweats and a general sense of unease.
Rain, attuned to the subtleties of the world around him, sensed the nature of this aura more intensely. He recognized it as a corrupted force emanating from evolved dragons making their way across the country. The corrupt aura was affecting not just the physical sensations but also stirring conflicting emotions within Rain and those around him.
Rain felt an overwhelming surge of anger, a primal urge to eliminate the dragons and eradicate the threat they posed. Simultaneously, conflicting desires emerged—feelings of lust, a temptation to succumb to base desires and disregard the impending danger, a sense of laziness urging him to give up, and the impulse to indulge in excessive food and ignore the looming peril.
This twisted mix of corrupted auras played havoc with the emotions and rational thoughts of those it affected, creating discomfort and internal struggle within Rain and those exposed to it. Despite his strong will and resolve, Rain felt the intrusive and corrupting influence of these auras, threatening to push him and others toward actions and impulses they would normally resist.
Before long, they were able to see the first few dragons in the distance... they were the fire and wind-evolved dragons. The Inferno Dragons soared through the sky with a terrifying and ominous presence. Their bodies were encased in flames, emitting an intense heat that shimmered and flickered around them.
Their scales, a blend of crimson and dark hues, appeared molten, exuding an otherworldly radiance that illuminated their surroundings. Massive wings, adorned with fiery patterns, beat rhythmically, leaving trails of swirling embers in the sky.
The Dragon King Dragons, larger and more imposing than the others, commanded attention as they flew through the sky. Their bodies were covered in shimmering metallic scales, reflecting the sunlight and casting an ominous gleam. They sported intricate patterns across their bodies, resembling royal insignias etched in precious metals.
"Remember, you don't have to try to kill them with every attack," Rain said to his sisters. "The more they bleed, the more weapons we will have against them. Focus on using earth magic for now, then we will change our strategy when Seadrei arrives."
"Understood," Dana, Kei, and Gila said in unison.
"Seara should try to cover for Terra as much as possible, protect her from stray projectiles while she focus on healing," Rain said. "We might change our strategy, so don't get impatient."
Rain's wives nodded. He seemed a bit more like usual now, so they could tell that Rain was going to give his best in the next fight. After turning around, Rain wondered what he should do... he had four types of enemies to choose from. He had to gather as much of their blood as possible before their forces on the ground arrived.
"Greed, Wrath, Wrath and pride..." Rain thought. "Considering their abilities, I guess I should focus on the storm dragons. Their ability to cause thunderstorms will be almost impossible to deal with by the raging Phoenix. I might also be able to use their abilities well... and with wrath..."
Rain made up his mind... and then summoned his ice armor and his giant ice fists as well... that combination was simple, but very effective... as long as he doesn't get hit by attacks or lightning bolts since the endurance of the armor wasn't that high.
Rain took a deep breath and then looked at the warriors in front of him and the soldiers on the walls. They were nervous as they could be... a war against two hundred dragons was something unheard of, so Rain had to raise their fighting spirit as much as possible.
In the end, Rain used Impulse and then when he began to fall, he began to fly toward the storm dragons.
