While everyone looked at him wondering who he was, Nora instantly recognized him. After all, he too was from Below the Veil. In fact, he had been a member of the sword clans. This was Rattler of the rapier Clan, son of now late Chief Killian, who had died at Chiron’s hands when he brought the end to the sword clans.

Back then, after he had narrowly escaped the slaughter that had reached his doorstep that night, his father had him flee as fast as he could, using a clan technique to ensure that he left to safety.

He was the Genius Strategist of the Sword clan’s young generation. Chiron had killed all of the sword clans geniuses back then, because he knew that each one of them had a great destiny, an influence of such in the future, and could supply him valuable Fate points.

the Moment Rattler saw Nora, he too was surprised, and then his surprised morphed into a bitter frown, but he immediately, swallowed back the rising anger.

Family members were usually by blood or marriage into the family. However, from Asura’s information, it was obvious that Rattler was so impressive that a Virtue’s family had no choice but to adopt him into the family, and they did it on such short notice too.

It was clear that they did not even want the other families to know about it.

Arlen, stroked his chin a bit. Dwarfs had a peculiar eye for talent. However, no matter how he looked at Rattler, he just could not see it.

These geniuses although looked like old time friends were still heirs to their respective families and that benefit came first before anything.

Their coincidental gatherings like this was also a means to pry information from one another using smiles and desires.
