Chapter 420: Dylan’s Heart 2
Chapter 420: Dylan’s Heart 2
If any of Chiron’s men were to guess, then they would say that in Chiron’s small army, Dylan was his favorite. Even though the young lad had barely done anything of worthiness.
This was shown even when Chiron had distributed the herbs from his Clan’s garden. Dylan had been given quite the significant quantity to consume.
And even for this battle, Chiron had not been stingy with blessing Dylan.
He had personally inscribed a totem on his skin, much different from the horned Rat that Dylan was used to.
This totem was a perverted one.
Chiron had been feeling quite inspired ever since he had come in contact with the totems that were used by the Vandorian people. Their style of fighting, majorly included extracting the spirit of a core beast and subjugating it on the skin of the individual. That way, they could easily call on the power of the spirit by connecting their own spiritual energy with it.
Although it was only in theory in this part of the world, Chiron knew that in other more developed parts, the actuality of transferring souls of other creatures into power was far more feasible.
This was not just the transformation of Core beasts into totems but also trees, and even demons and devils.
Chiron had never done such a procedure before, but he had the fate change system, and with enough boost in memory, he was able to replicate an aspect of the procedure.
Of course, this gift was for one person and one person only.
It was Chiron’s way of ensuring that Dylan was protected or rather, could protect himself. After all, Chiron had special plans for him.
Dylan flew through the dark of the night, the trees, like a monkey chasing after its mate in heat.
His eyes looked through the trees, and the ground, tracking the sighs of struggle that the victims had made as the bandits dragged them through the forest area to their den.
Blood here and there. A tooth here and even torn clothes there.
All sighs that the bandits had smacked the victims to submission as they took them.@@@@
"We caught him snooping outside the den. It seems like he might be a spy or something. We did not know what to do with him and decided to bring him here."
The Rhino man took a deep look at Dylan, sniffing him deeply. "you... you smell funny!" he commented as he looked away.
Dylan was a bit scared because he had been sweating running all the way to this place. Surely, his human smell would mix with beast man smell that Carla had put on him.
he suspected that this must have been the reason why the Rhino man said that he smelt funny.
"Take him to the Boss!" The rhino man ordered.
"The boss!?" Dylan thought to himself. Because of the kind of strength that the Rhino man possessed, he had thought maybe the Rhino man was the one in charge.
Apparently, he was wrong about that.
The bandit guard kicked him back to his feet as he ordered him to move rudely.
Dylan observed the lay out of this cave as he entered inside. it was not so bright, but one could easily see the way because of several luminous stones littered around the place.
Dylan could see bandits at different corners. Some of them were playing games, some others were abusing the prisoners that they had acquired, both physically and sexually. laughing and even placing bets as they did.
The sight of this made Dylan tighten his fists in anger, but he had to hold back as best he could. After all, the safety of the little girl was the most forward thing on his mind. there was nothing he wanted to do right now that surpassed saving her life.
Just then, he noticed a sight at the corner.
It was a group of familiar faces. Guards that were supposed to have been in charge of the safety of the carriages. From the looks of things, they were collecting bribes from the Bandits with smiling faces.
The realization that they were sold out by the people that were supposed to have protected the carriages hit him.
Dylan wanted to say something but....
