What Do You Mean There Are Other Transmigrators In My Harem Fantasy?

Chapter 943: They Need Healing

Chapter 943: They Need Healing

We managed to capture several of the bandits alive and our escorts took them into custody for questioning.

Most likely they wanted to find out if this was an attempt on either assassinating the Marchioness, the King or even Mother, since it was definitely weird for bandits to attack a group like this.

But judging by the numbers, they might have felt they had the advantage especially with the element of surprise on their side.

Unfortunately for us, we did have some casualties on our side as well but it was definitely fewer than what the bandits suffered.

Incidentally, I got to see how they handled their dead as the party members simply collected the corpses and equipment of their fallen comrades in silence before bringing them back to their camp with them.

I was told that those parties with a lot of money would be hiring a healer to revive them while the others would most likely be cremated.

I had thought that there would be crying and stuff happening because of the deceased but aside from some sombre looks, they merely dealt with the death of their comrades pretty well.

When I asked Katsuki about it, she said that it was because the dead are now in Srii’s domain and though she might seem to have disdain for the living, she treats the dead quite fairly.

So the people who have died would have found solace in the afterlife and might even be reincarnated or something according to her.

Also... Apparently resurrecting someone really annoys Srii so there’s another reason why healers who are able to revive the dead don’t do so willy nilly.

The big price tag that the healers charge for the spell would also be for that reason as well. The healers themselves would need to give something as an offering to the Goddess of Death in return for ’stealing’ one of the dead away from her.

Technically, it’s not exactly a requirement to do so but let’s just say that if you don’t offer something, you’re not going to have a good time in your own afterlife.

The good thing was that it didn’t need to be Creas to be paid as an offering, just something that would appease her would do. It’s just that Creas was the universal currency and easiest to be sure of the value that she would accept as an offering.

Interesting system they have here, not gonna lie.

That’s why, despite all that had happened, the atmosphere around the camp seemed to be a positive one, especially since defeating these bandits meant that there was now loot there up for grabs.

I didn’t join them in the looting since I didn’t help during the battle and I doubt the sight of the supposed child of the Nilm Family picking up loot after a battle she did not participate would give anyone good impressions.

But then I realised that there were multiple wounded Mercenaries that were still scattered around the field.

"I guess I should go and help heal them," I mused aloud.

Katsuki spoke up from behind me, "Mistress, please do not forget about your toast."

Oh right.

I fished the wrapper out from in between my chest. Mmm~ Still hot~

"Yours as well, Katsuki~" I reminded her.

She looked down at the wrapper I gave her before looking back up at me, "Was this not for me to hold for Mistress while you eat the first one?"

"Nonsense~ I got that one for you to enjoy with me, Katsuki~"

"I apologise, Mistress... But if I may be allowed to do so... Could I save it for later?"

Wow... Somehow I keep getting myself involved with weird ones, huh?

I waved my hand at him, "It’s no bother, don’t worry about it. It would just be a simple spell and we would be done. I just need you to remove the arrows first though."

"Arrows?" He asked, shooting me a confused look.

He then looked down at himself and a look of realisation crossed his face.

"Oh, these arrows. I didn’t realise I had them on me. Give me a moment then."

He reached up his hands and started pulling out the arrows from his body like they were just some kind of decoration that was pasted on him.

Blood spurted out from the freshly opened wounds but this guy didn’t even flinch and tossed the arrows away like they were just some garbage.

Obviously, I chose not to say anything and just went ahead to cast [Heal] on him which quickly closed up all his wounds and healed his burn too.

He clenched and unclenched his fists before nodding at me, "That was a beautiful heal. How much do I owe you?"

"It’s fine. I’m doing this just because I want to, not because I want to get paid."

"That doesn’t sit right with me. Here, take this."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a Large Bronze coin before handing it to me.

He really just paid me ten Creas just for a simple heal...

"Thank you again. If you are able, please heal the others as well," He nodded before going back to leaning on his sword.

Alright then...

I started to walk away to look for more patients but it turns out I didn’t need to because a group of them suddenly came up to me instead.

"Please! My Lady! You are a healer right? We’ll pay you! Please heal us!"

"Me too!"

"Please heal me as well!"

"I have deep lacerations to my torso and I’m in dire need of a medical professional! Heal me, please!!"

"I stubbed my toe earlier!"

"I suffered emotional damage!"

What the heck? Where did all of you come from? And why are you all looking for me specifically? Aren’t there other healers?!

Godamnit, fine! All of you line up properly!!
