Chapter 899 Go Mother, I Choose You!
Chapter 899 Go Mother, I Choose You!
Mother stepped onto the arena casually, making it look like she was simply out for a stroll.
But I suppose that's how she's usually like most of the time.
I wondered what kind of Monster Girl did Verdam think Mother was since it didn't look like he was even questioning her presence at all.
When Mother reached her position, he simply lifted his hand and called for the battle to start.
"Go, Lucra! Hit her with your tidal wave!" Verdam commanded.
The Undine faced Mother and scoffed, "I'm not fighting for you because I want to, ok?! It's just that the smug face of hers is irritating me and I just want to hurt her a little!"
She's still trying to be tsundere huh...
A wave of water that was even bigger than the previous one rushed towards Mother and I was expecting her to do something to defend herself or cancel it but she stood there without moving even as the water neared her.
She turned her head to look back at me with a smile, making me realise that she really wanted me to command her and she had no intention of doing anything unless it was a direct order from me.
Really, Mother? I'm pretty sure you know that I have no idea what you are capable of so how am I supposed to command you?
Ah whatever!
"Shield yourself!" I shouted out.
Mother reacted immediately by raising her hand, creating a translucent wall in front of her.
The wave hit the wall and split itself into two, crashing into the ground beside her.
Despite having enough force to shake the ground, Mother did not even budge an inch and the shield didn't even crack at all.
Interestingly, the water also disappeared when it got past her to crash into the ground in front of the tower, though it did leave wet spots on the ground in the process.
Mother held the shield with one hand and withstood the tidal wave attack completely until all the water had depleted and we were left with just the wet arena floor.
But despite the attack being over, Mother remained where she was with her shield up, showing no signs of counter attacking or doing anything else.
The Undine was frowning at the sight, clearly unhappy that her tidal wave was blocked and also probably because she thought that Mother was only planning to sit there behind her shield and not attack at all.
I quickly realised that Mother literally wanted me to dictate every single move she made and if I did not say anything, she would definitely just remain there and take any attack aimed at her.
"Use water bullets!" Verdam shouted at his Undine.
The Undine obeyed and several blobs of water formed around her, which she clearly intended to use to shoot at Mother.
Before the bullets could form completely however, I decided to just use the most simple command just to see what she would do.
"Kill her!"
Once more, a circle of light appeared on the arena and as the name suggested, a purple haired woman with tentacles for her lower body appeared from within the circle.
Instead of using her tentacles to support herself on land, she seemed to be floating just a few inches above the ground.
Her tentacles writhed around her as she spun in a circle before settling down to face us.
"Ara? Are you my opponent?" She asked, though she seemed to be directing the question at me instead of Mother.
I shook my head and gestured towards Mother, "Sorry but she is."
The Kraken finally noticed Mother and pouted, "Pity... I would have preferred to play with you instead. You look so much more delectable..."
Mother giggled, "Ara, ara? I have to say you have good taste at least."
"Ufufufu~ Of course I do. One look at her and only a fool would ever pass up the chance~"
"Ufufufu~ I can agree with that~ She is a precious one~"
"Ara? Have you already done it with her then?"
"Of course~"
"How envious~"
Why does it suddenly look like these two are long lost friends or something...
Verdam cleared his throat before pointing his hand in the air, "Battle begin! Alice, rob them of their vision!"
The Kraken flexed her tentacles and a circle of black liquid materialised around her before it burst outwards, causing the entire area to become pitch black.
It didn't even matter to me since I could see through the darkness so it didn't affect me at all and I believe that it was the same case for Mother.
How did I know? Because she had turned her head to look at me to wait for my order.
The Kraken then tried to rush towards Mother, probably aiming to restrain her with her tentacles.
"Err... Defeat her?" I suggested.
Mother turned back and raised her palm to point at the Kraken.
The Monster Girl then stopped in midair as if she was frozen.
Mother then flicked her wrist and the Kraken was launched back to crash into Verdam's tower.
The Kraken tried to pull herself away from the tower but Mother flicked her wrist again and another wave of force crashed into the Kraken, this time knocking her out.
Well... That was easy?
Then again... It's not like I was expecting it to go any other way with Mother being their opponent in the first place...
