I tilted my head at the question, "Do you want me to?"

The Gnome poked her fingers together, "If... If you do become the new Dungeon Master... Could you keep us?"

"Removing all of us to replace us with other monsters?" The Ifrit explained.

"I don't intend to take over as the Dungeon Master here," I admitted.

The Ifrit tilted her head slightly, "In that case... Why does Mistress wish to meet Master?"

"I just want to talk to him and probably ask him about some stuff, that's all."

The Gnome jumped up excitedly, "In that case, should I bring Mistress to meet him right now?"

I looked back at Mother who simply smiled and nodded at me, prompting me to turn back to the Gnome.

"Alright then... Could you bring us there?"

She shuffled her feet, "If... If I do that... Could I ask Mistress for a reward? Master... He would give me a reward when I do things for him..."

I decided not to comment on it and simply took Mother by her hand again and went into the tunnel, which was interestingly made out of earth instead of flesh like the ground on this particular floor of the Dungeon.

Mother giggled softly when I grasped her hand but said nothing more and simply followed behind me while the Gnome led the way, ignoring the Ifrit and Arachnid who were still expressing their dissatisfaction behind us.

The tunnel seemed to continue forward for quite a distance before a hole literally appeared out of thin air, marking the end of the tunnel.

The hole seemed to open up to an empty corridor so I didn't really hesitate to follow the Gnome out of the hole either.

The Burrow Gnome didn't hesitate and went straight up to the closed doors, stopping in front of it and a little bit to the side as though she was indicating I should take over the lead.

Just to be sure, I pointed at the door in front of us, "Your master is right behind this door... Right?"

The Gnome nodded, "That is correct Mistress. Do I... Umm... Do I get a reward now?"

Mother answered her before I could, "Ara? We have not even confirmed if you led us to a trap and you already want a reward? Ufufufu~ How daring of you~"

The Ifrit and Arachnid immediately took the opportunity Mother gave to start berating the Gnome as well.

"That's right! You could have led us here to trap us and then take Mistress all for yourself!"

The Gnome bristled at her two 'colleagues', "I did not! If you worry so much about it being a trap, then how about I go ahead of you to prove it?!"

I did not miss the fact that both the Ifrit and Arachnid moved a little closer to me, though it doesn't seem like they were doing it to protect me but more like they were preparing to grab me and make a run for it or something.

I don't think this is a trap but I guess it doesn't hurt to be careful...

The Gnome walked up to the door and pushed open it, the doors opening without a sound despite their size.

Light shone through the gap of the door and... The Gnome disappeared.
